Learn to Coordinate the Bicycle Marquee Exchange

Personnel this is an issue that happens every day on Pedals, on the asphalt or on the ground. Especially with cyclists who are starting with their bike to pedal. Let’s understand how the relationship works and its benefits.

There are several settings between Ratchet (rear wheel) and Crown (where the pedal goes). Previously the bicycles had a 01 x 01 ratio, this made the pedals much more difficult, the displacement was due to their same leg strength. Then began to appear the relationship 01 x 10 (Caloi 10), which revolutionized the era, for those who wanted to do long asphalt tracks, was ideal. And in the 1990s, there were the Mountain Bike with 03 x 07 (21 March) ratios with more reinforced structure, for pedals in Irregular terrain. Today has new variations in the market as: 03 x 09, 03 x 10, 02 x 10, 01 x 10. The goal is to make your bike more efficient in the type of pedal you do.

Many people who are starting the pedal, are afraid to change the configuration of the gears, or when they risk doing, do at the wrong time, and set up a wrong exchange, which makes the person many times more tired, and more irritated, doing They wear out on the pedal. It is even one of the reasons for abandonment at the beginning. You can see on your next pedal those people who on a flat course are pedaling like crazy and do not leave the place, or, on a rise are making greater force to make a pedal cycle.

So let’s get this straight!

Settings

The Configuration 01 (Crown) x 10 (Ratchet)-Can be a medium crown. Used in circuits with few ascents and few descents (more plane).

The Configuration 02 (Crown) x 10 (Ratchet)-It can be a medium crown and a small crown. Used for circuits with flat terrain and ascent.

The Configuration 03 (Crown) x 10 (Ratchet)-A small, medium and large crown. Used in circuits with flat terrain, ups and downs.

The Ratchet Set (Rear Ratio) may also have size changes to optimize performance on the circuit. Minor ratio-for asphalt and higher ratio for track.

Changing The Bicycle March

In the left hand you make the change of the Crown (Front Ratio)

The Big Crown – Usually used at higher speeds, to give more torque to speed. Used in descents and planes.

The Middle Crown-Can be used in plane, ascent and descent.

The Little Crown-Usually used in strong climbs.

In the right hand you make the change of the Ratchet (Ratio of Traz)

Tip: The chain can never be inverted, inside with or without inside. This results in higher wear of the ratio and even the rupture of the chain. You should always work as follows. The smaller Crown with the 4/3 larger Ratchets. The Middle Crown with all Ratchets (Avoiding if possible the largest and the smallest-at the ends). The larger Crown with the 4/4 smaller Ratchets.

Time To Change The Bicycle March

If you are going to change gears, never do it at the last minute, and never do giving torque on the pedal. This forces the relationship and can cause breakage.

If you are in a mid-range plan (Middle Crown + Small Ratchet) and see that the front will have a raise; Anticipate your movement a few meters before starting the climb and already put a light gait (Medium Crown+Large Catacra) or (Small Crown+Large Catacra). After breaking the climb, return the setting to middle gear.

If you are in a mid-range plane (Middle Crown+Small Ratchet) and see that the front will have a descent; After starting the descent, place a heavy gear (large crown+small ratchet). After finishing the descent, return the setting to middle gear.

I hope I have helped with your questions. Regarding Relationship Maintenance we will talk about another article. May you have a pleasurable pedal.
